Going down

Well, today I’ve done a stupid thing. I’ve contributed to all three of my blogs on the same day. To achieve an ideal spread, I need to eek it out a little, not dump thousands of words on you people all at once. Today’s Eirica chapter was huge. I probably should split it, but then that would make the story 13 chapters long. I’m not superstitious … really I’m not … well, maybe a little.

I should apologize now.

Anyway, I think I’m coming down with something. (Shall we call it Christmas?) I’ve been feeling a little down, not sleeping well, and am just plain crabby. (Don’t even think it!) That became pretty evident when I drew my card for today’s Ezzie installment. The weather is about to get worse, too.

The X-Factor final starts tonight. For once, I’m not sure I care who wins. I like all three for different reasons. Tate seems genuine, and he’s an ace country singer. (Too bad I don’t really like country music.) Carly Rose is great, but I think Britney steered her wrong on song choice last week. She’s too good for her age. (I’m so jealous!) Emblem 3 were my pick at the beginning, but they too have been mis-managed. But not as badly as Fifth Element. Simon doomed them to fail last week. Stupid song choice for their second song. Just plain stupid! E3 were fresh and new at the beginning, but they’ve been very predictable ever since. I hoped they would take a chance tonight and do one of their originals. That would have socked it to the others. But what we got instead were 5E, a group that sings one song very well, and that is it. They could be good with better mentoring, song choice – and get rid of the backing singers. They are a quintet, for heaven’s sake!

My guess is that Tate Nation will come out in force and crown the first X-Factor country winner.

Now, it is time for me to do what I sat down to do. Write.

Peace, lovelies.

  1. It was weird that I completely blanked that Fifth Harmony and beaten out Emblem 3 in the semi-final. (I’ve adjusted the above post to reflect that.) I’m not sure why it happened, but it probably had to do with Simon pounding in the notion that they didn’t have a chance of winning. Then he gave them the perfect song (Anything can Happen), and then a complete dog (Impossible) that they had sung before. E3 fans were probably underwhelmed by their songs that night, too. 5H fans probably flocked to the phones to make Simon eat his words.

Last night, 5H repeated songs they had done before, (ACH) and their cover with Demi this time (better than last time). The closed off the show with an awful Let it Be. Can they win? Anything can happen. Will they? I doubt it. My money’s on Tate, although I would vote for Carly.
