Duh! I posted my haiku (Totally Awesome) here, so if you were expecting my regular distillation of wit and self-deprecating egotistical humor, you will have to persevere. It’s coming.
Did you see my bonus haiku yesterday: Gibberish which was … gibberish. I was using nonsense syllables and scat in a couple of my comments yesterday, and that was the logical progression.
So … don’t you hate it when someone begins a sentence with “so?” It drives me nuts, just like the cold call that I just received. “Hey, your business has been chosen for a new small business tariff …” Me: “We ceased trading 5 years ago.” Him: “Oh.” You would think they would update their lists more frequently than that. Like totally, you know.
So, maybe I’m being a little cynical here, or maybe that is charitable. Perhaps vindictive is the word. Certainly annoyed, maybe Anne-oyed.
Well, I was was reading K’s piece about my name (In the Name of … Anne), and was thinking about other references, an in French is the budget version (50% off folks), meaning “year”, but don’t worry, you also get a bonus version année with the extra é, depending on which gender you require. In Italian you get the same meaning with cousin Vinnie’s derivation anno, and in Spanish you get the sexy año.
I have to admit, I like K’s sources better, as mine tend to remind me of my advancing age. Now I owe her something special. Stay tuned.
I shudder to think of what card is coming. Wait for it ….
XII. The Hanged Man.
Drive: Devotion, acceptance of fate, maturity
Light: Overcoming the ego, changing life, a new sight of the world
Shadow: standstill, rejection, loss of perspective
Maturity? Ah, well that is the nice way of aging. I’ve never really thought of the card that way. Let’s not beat around the bush:
Enforced sacrifice, punishment, loss, fatal or voluntary, suffering, defeat, failure, death.
Yeah. That was more like it. Put me down now.
