Everything you know is wrong

Wet things, shiny things, and a blank canvas. That canvas is my brain right now, searching for meaning today. Not good news on the home front. My ailing sib has undergone another setback, and one of the parents is fading. The last 12 months has been horrible, and this is likely to be worse.

The UK will probably crash out of Europe, since the government seems not to have the will to work out a solution that all parties can stomach. The opposition parties can’t agree on an alternative. I’m tempted to move to Ireland to hold onto my EU citizenship, but I have a feeling that with no deal, that won’t work.

Politics at home are worse. The Amateur President has been busy showing how amateur he is. He’s destroyed the economy and his pitch is that we have to vote for him even if we hate him, just to save our 401K’s. Huh? He is destroying our 401K’s as he speaks. Every time I see the news, it’s more like Brave New World. The free media is fake, and the media that’s in the pockets of the Right is “unbiased”.

Everything you know is wrong.

And the AP wants to buy Greenland, so we can rape their resources after their glaciers melt. So much for our rapidly increasing debt. It will be paid off through taxes on Arctic Oil. No. Not with the corporate tax cuts, and it would probably take a decade before that revenue might start coming in. By then, we will have a $50T deficit, and Trump will either be starting his third term, or congress will elect him King, and Ivanka as heir.

That is no joke. Don’t forget, everything you know is wrong.

Because this post is a complete downer, I’m going to draw a card: Queen of Disks

In the Queen of Disks, a woman sits on a stone throne decorated with carvings of fruit trees, goats, angels and other symbols of material success and sensual pleasure. She cradles a gold coin with both hands and looks down on it with loving care, as if to nurture this symbol of wealth and material success. Luscious plants and flowers surround her, representing her connection to Mother Earth, nature, and abundance. A small rabbit jumps near to where she is seated, symbolizing fertility and suggesting that her life is in flow and alignment.

Frankly, I’m not buying this one. Maybe it is reflecting my familial thoughts. I need an advisory card: 7 of Cups. Debauch. I suppose that is telling us to be careful what we wish for.

Today’s haiku: Urgency
